The Pseudo Science Of Global Warming

“He who controls the present, controls the past. He who controls the past, controls the future.”—George Orwell, 1984.

I define Global Warming thus: An ingenious method devised by the crooks on Wall Street, the US government, the globalists and the Illuminati to rob mankind yet one more time through the Kyoto Protocol, which has now become international law, and which all industrial nations except the USA have ratified.

Prof. Riaz-ul-Haq, I cannot believe you are a global warmist, but then what is believable about this website except that it bans, as a matter of policy, those who speak the truth.

Please refrain from spinning the yarn of numbers and lying with statistics like you did with your recent blog ‘Carbon Credits For Clean Energy in Pakistan’ (http://www.chowk.com/ilogs/76112/48173).

First they called it ‘Global Warming’, and showed us manipulated data and out of context pictures of melting glaciers and desperate polar bears. Second, when the fraud was found out, they changed the name to ‘Climate Change’!

Mankind can never change whatever change God ordains. Drastic changes have taken place in the past on Earth that had nothing to do with human activity. Warming has been noticed on the moons of some planets too; does that mean humans are responsible? Must we believe lying men in white coats and bureaucrats?

Global warming is a massive fraud that is being forced by the industrialized world and its high priests of technology and pseudo-sciences (like Al Gore and his minions) down the throats of developing nations.

You, Prof. Riaz-ul-Haq, ought to know better. You are condoning this gospel of untruth aimed at extorting money from countries through carbon taxation. Obviously, the West wants an end to oil producers’ dominance, and it wants us to pay them for developing technologies it will very kindly sell to the poor at exorbitant prices; this is the only way the West can bulldoze China and other Asian emerging giants.

The West has successfully made the children of the world feel terribly guilty about global warming—as if the very act of exhaling carbon dioxide and passing gases out of our hindquarters is a cardinal sin worth taxing and trading on Wall Street.

All the financial woes we face today come directly from the money wheeler-dealers. The world has had enough of the shylocks of Wall Street. Nicely disguised as prosperity, these crooked bankers have always inflicted economic ruin upon mankind. We must give the devils due credit—if you would understand the pun—for the Credit Crunch.

Prof. Riaz-ul-Haq, has your adopted country ever thought about these issues, considering that it is the largest manufacturer of arms and the chief exporter of terrorism disguised as democracy? It has 700 military bases worldwide and supports forty repressive regimes. Bankrupt America needs to mind its own business, clean its own backyard and generally behave itself. It is on the verge of being wiped out economically; whether it will vanish physically off the face of Earth depends on God’s Will.

Comparing total greenhouse gas emissions in 2009 to 1992 levels, the U.S. emissions were up by 18.09%, with irregular fluctuations from one year to another but a general trend to increase. The U.S. per-capita CO2 emissions for 2007 were 19.94 Metric Tonnes per carefree American. Its share of worldwide CO2 emissions for the same year comes to 20.08%.

The U.S. contains 4% of the world's population but produces about 25% of all carbon dioxide emissions. Are you all happy Americans willing to tax yourself for this crime? By comparison, Britain emits 3%—about the same as India that has fifteen times as many people. Unbelievable, is this not?

So how does this new business work? Take for example, Poland, which is likely to release less greenhouse gas than permitted by the 1997 Kyoto Protocol. It can therefore sell the difference to polluters who exceed their ceiling. Japan has made similar agreements with the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary. What a wonderful way to make tons of money through forced taxation—as unblessed as usury—from nothing at all!

George Warmonger Bush said about the Kyoto Protocol: “This is the American position because it's right for America. We will not do anything that harms our economy, because first things first are the people who live in America.”

The warm message from the USA is that ‘the U.S. corporations have the right to pollute the entire planet. The people and the environment don't matter.’

In his farewell address, Dwight D. Eisenhower gave this warning:

“Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard, there are now hundreds of new electronic computers. The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present—and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

It is the task of statesmanship to mould, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system—ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.”

Pakistani Passports, British Intelligence And Al-CIAda

It is indeed overwhelming how the British lost a number of Pakistani passports recently. Nobody questions the British how they achieved this feat.

Obtaining a two-year British multiple entry visa already costs nearly Rs 29,000, while a ten year multiple visa cots upwards of 70,000. Add to that the humility of filling endless documents, and photocopies on 100-gram A4 sheets of paper with information going back to the time when dinosaurs ruled the world. Then throw in the possibility of having one’s application rejected on flimsy grounds. For most people, the re-application process costs them fantastic sums, not to mention the colossal waste of time attempting to get an appointment for submitting the application.

Our busy-with-terrorists government could not care less how the British High Commission fleeces the citizens in a humiliating manner. The British claim that the lost documents may end up in the hands of Al-CIAda terrorists, enabling them to travel incognito and commit terror worldwide.

Who do they think we are to believe this intelligence manoeuvre that will ensure these passports are misused to give Muslims a bad name everywhere? A number of lost travel documents had multiple visas of various Western countries stamped on them; these ‘could be easily tampered with for illegal air travel and immigration’.

“If terrorists get hold of these passports, they can alter them with the help of human-trafficking mafia and move freely to various countries, especially the US and UK, to carry out terror activities,” the sources said.

Last month, it British High Commission lost around 100 Pakistani passports submitted for obtaining visas while it was shifting operations to Abu Dubai owing to security risks here. British authorities have so far failed to provide the exact number or a plausible reason for the loss of the passports, causing trouble for applicants. There were also several students amongst the applicants.

As we all know too well, the poor students will be—in some future date—rounded up and accused of planning to ensure the fall of the London Bridge or of imagining to set the parliament building on fire. Since every child can sing ‘London Bridge is falling down’, they may as well imprison them all for being part of an ancient conspiracy to bring the darned structure down through loud singing.

Our students face dire threats and I would advise parents to think twice before blindly sending the apples of their eyes abroad to waste hard-earned money on useless paper degrees. They want your visa fees, the college tuition fees and then your children too. For what, you may ask?—why, to make old England a paradise on Earth at our expense.

Rob Murphy, a British spokesman told the media, “There are exaggerated stories about them but the exact number of the lost passports is less than 100. We are investigating the matter, but I cannot say anything about the conclusion of the probe.”

To a question about terrorists being able to use them for illegal purposes, Murphy said the high commission had already informed the visa applicants to get new passports and re-apply for their visas.

What a wonderful way of making the citizens go around in circles to satisfy the British crown’s wishes!

Diplomatic sources said more than 100,000 visas are still lying with the UK Border Agency, which now entertains visa applications from Pakistan. Even Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, in his meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband earlier this month, expressed frustration over the delays and demanded relaxation in the visa policy for Pakistanis.

Has our Prime Minister ever had his visa application rejected: his passport stolen or lost by the British: ever stand in a queue behind fifty ordinary mortals or do what he expects millions of Pakistanis to do without asking a question and out of their own shrinking pockets? The answer to all of these questions is a big fat no.

Sherwani-clad men like Gilani dart about in their swift official cars without caring to see what is happening all around. The British take unfair advantage of the situation because they know millions of Pakistani families live divided lives in England and Pakistan and need to travel, no matter what the cost or the odds.

Picasso Trips Onto A Woman

At the peak of his career, Pablo probably—or rather definitely—did trip over many female fans; little did he know that after his death women would fall not for his brushstrokes but rather for his work’s obtrusiveness.

Some people are born clumsy or accident-prone but to fall over a rare and priceless work of art—a Picasso, for instance—is pure American genius.

An unidentified woman, after losing her balance, fell squarely over Picasso’s 100-years old masterpiece, called The Actor (1904), and caused a six-inch vertical slash in the lower right hand corner. This close encounter of the worst kind with art took place at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art where the experts are now busy recovering from the shock of the damage.

Major collisions have taken place in this city.

First in 1945, when an Air Force B-25 bomber attempted to land into the famous Empire State Building; structural integrity of the building was NOT compromised, fourteen people died (three crewmen and eleven in the building) and one million US dollars' worth of damage was done.

Second, the Twin Towers being used as parallel runways in 2000 (2,750 deaths and complete destruction of the towers through successful implosions using carefully placed explosives).

And finally, the art-loving woman attempting to destroy cultural heritage.

The museum said ‘the slash did not affect the focal point of the composition and the repair—which will take place in the next few weeks—will be unobtrusive’.

Pablo Picasso created the painting, which depicts an acrobat posed against an abstracted backdrop, during his so-called Pink or Rose Period in the winter of 1904-5. The museum received the work as a donation in 1952. Officials say they expect the repair to be completed in time for a new exhibition—Picasso in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The woman in question was—hallelujah—attending an adult education class on Friday afternoon when she ran into the masterpiece measuring about 6 feet by 4 feet that hung on the wall of a second-floor gallery with other early Picassos. The museum did not reveal her identity and the accident caused no injury to her.

So far, they have not accused her—just as they have Dr Afia Siddiqui to make an example out of her in the land of the free and dumbstruck—of being ‘Lady Al-CIAda’, ‘The Grey Lady of Bagram’ or ‘The Most Dangerous Woman Of The World’.

Woman Faces Sex For Noisy Jail

Actually, the title is ‘Woman risks jail for noisy sex’.

Today we shall examine the case of a woman whose noisy lovemaking sessions have been officially branded ‘anti-social behaviour’.

An English court has ruled that ‘she is liable to find herself behind bars if she fails to stop excessively loud lovemaking’. Caroline Cartwright has been handed an eight-week prison term suspended for 12 months—this means if she indulges in noisy expressions of pleasure one more time, she will immediately be sent to the jail.

Judge Beatrice Bolton at Newcastle Crown Court said, “I've heard a very short extract of the noise you make and can well see that your neighbours would be upset and distressed by this.”

Cartwright was served with a civil order over marathon lovemaking sessions with husband (thank God for that) Steve. Their antics were declared ‘unnatural and like they are both in considerable pain.’ Neighbours at their home in Washington, south of Newcastle, had complained about the noise—as did passers-by and the poor postman.

Although Cartwright was served with an anti-social behaviour order, she admitted earlier to having violated it. At an earlier hearing, the court learnt that the local council set up special equipment in a neighbour's flat and recorded noise levels of 30-40 decibels, peaking at 47—as loud as a conversation in the same room.

Cartwright told the court she had tried to restrain herself.

"I did not understand why people asked me to be quiet because to me it is normal," she said, adding: "I have tried to minimise the situation by having sex in the morning—not at night—so the noise was not waking up anybody. I may be sympathetic to it, but it is not something I am doing on purpose."

In our part of the civilized world (remember, we were civilized long before the colonialist Europeans came along to civilize us some more), we do not produce objectionable noises while being passionate even in the oppressive summers; this talent truly comes to us from across the cold continent.

I believe what Caroline Cartwright meant was that indulging in noisy lovemaking is freedom of expression, freedom of free speech etcetera. Thank heavens we are not told exactly what she shouted, and whether she preferred her mother tongue to hollering in some European or a Far Eastern language. Who knows, she might have shouted in Chinese or Punjabi. I have reason to believe that listening to too much Bhangra music and having loads of curries in old England might have turned her into a noisy student of all things Punjabi.

Now, let us suppose that even if one had an inspiring figure like Mrs Cartwright living in the neighbourhood, a good Eastern husband would never complain to the authorities.
Remember, we allow latitude, show great tolerance and let passionate cries be—well—passionate cries. Why would anyone in the East brand noisy love therapy sessions as anti-social behaviour disorder or anything of the kind?

Recall how American wrestling proceeds with its awful makeup, the overfed wrestlers, the hype, the fake screaming and the ‘fixed’ matches. This is how it is there, all make belief.

In the East, we never stoop to measuring sound levels of our darlings (wives, of course) with decibel meters; we just let them be. In fact, so quiet are we that partners must sometimes assess what the silence was all about. As a matter of courtesy to the children in the other room—if not to the aging parents—Eastern couples speak into each other’s ears in whispers while in bed; sometimes they do not speak at all.

170 Million People Do Count

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates, now what would Pakistan do without aid flowing in from a bankrupt and debt-ridden economy! Our 170 million people are all jobless and so afraid of Uncle Sam.

Gates said on Friday that ‘he sought to build bridges with the next generation of Pakistan’s military leaders and to end a trust deficit that hampered cooperation against militancy.’

Meaning: They will not construct bridges over our five rivers but rather recruit slaves from the Armed Forces to do their bidding. [Can our defence secretary address American military leaders like this? Ayub Khan Yahya Khan, Zia-ul-Haq, Musharraf, may you all be dealt with the same way you dealt with this country.]

Addressing military officials at the National Defence University, Gates said distrust between the allies had been compounded by an organized propaganda campaign orchestrated by their common enemy.

Meaning: The voices that spread truth and hamper Allied plans need to be silenced and untruth needs to be propagated with the full force of the mass media.

He called the US decision to abandon Pakistan after the Soviet withdrawal from Afghanistan a grave strategic mistake, and said it resulted in today’s trust deficit and lack of understanding between the two armies.

Meaning: That abandonment was also part of the destructive plan. Understanding between the two armies is all that is needed; the peoples’ voices may be conveniently disregarded.

Gates urged the government to ‘stop making distinctions among militants as safe havens on either side of the Pak-Afghan border would lead to more lethal and more brazen militant attacks.’ He said that ‘maintaining a distinction between some violent extremists groups and others is counterproductive.’

Meaning: Continue to kill those who kill (of course, funded and trained by foreign sponsors), the peaceful ones too deserve to die. Time must not be wasted in working towards peace but rather towards supplying arms to both the sides and starting mini wars on all fronts so that Pakistan will suffer in the long run.

Gates announced that the US was neither ‘coveting a single inch of Pakistani soil nor was it seeking any military base in the country.’

Meaning: Americans own the airspace and many old and newly-built airbases within Pakistan.

The defence secretary also assured the military audience that his ‘country had no desire to control Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.’

Meaning: Americans (Israelis) do wish to dismantle the project and campaigns against individual scientists and institutions are part of the plan that will show the world how irresponsible Pakistani really are. The same plan is being used for Iran but Iran has the courage to spit on the face of American propaganda.

He said ‘the US was fully committed to a stable, long-term and enduring friendship with Pakistan. However, Gates expressed concerns over the prevailing ‘scepticism’ about the intentions of the US in Pakistan.

Meaning: Scepticism is the truth; it is the voice of the people the world over. If Pakistan has come to this stage with all that wonderful American help, why look lovingly at another friendly country?

Earlier, he told reporters that Pakistan’s leadership would decide for itself whether the country needed to expand its anti-Taliban campaign along the Afghan border.

Meaning: There is no need to trouble Pakistani brains when American think-tanks can do the remote-controlled job just a s easily.

“Pakistan is a sovereign country and it is up to it to decide when and where to launch an operation. We (the US and Pakistan) are in the same car but Pakistan is in the driving seat, with its foot on the accelerator,” Gates said.

Meaning: America will act according to its own intelligence and ‘bomb everyone back to stone-age’.

He said ‘the core of Al Qaeda” would not abandon the tribal belt as the areas had special importance for them.’

Meaning: Al-CIAda will never leave until God wills its Vietnam like defeat.

About the US private security agency, Blackwater, the US defence secretary said ‘the Defence Department does not have Blackwater in Pakistan and we do not use them in Pakistan.’

Meaning: But other agencies and departments within the US government can and do use Blackwater.

End of news bulletin, sleep well Green Cardigans.

A Warning To Pakistani Parents

US National Intelligence Director Dennis Blair on Tuesday held a roundtable discussion with Pakistani-Americans as part of an effort to boost the recruitment and retention of Pakistani-Americans in US intelligence agencies.

“We need you to help us build a better relationship between the United States and Pakistan,” Blair said during the meeting, according to remarks released by his office. He also stressed the “common threat” faced by both countries.

The Pakistani-American citizens—led like sacrificial sheep by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani—included two dozen business leaders, college students and federal employees.

I request all Pakistani parents, please talk to your sons and daughters, whom you have sent abroad for expensive but useless education, and instruct them to remain clear of these dangerous recruiters. Dr Afia Siddiqui is going to be sacrificed on the altar of American demon-crazy. She is a very bright person who has nothing to do with what they accuse her of; this is what they call entrapment.

The National Intelligence director’s office said the meeting delved into “past problems of mistrust”, the role of the media and “the rise of religious extremism in Pakistan”.

Understanding who we are and where we are headed is NOT religious extremism. I would advise all the Green Cardigan turncoats to stay clear of this trap of spying on their own Motherland and their relatives back home and instead focus on happily remaining where you are and on getting your invader army 'boys' back where they belong.

We already have a huge population of agents, double agents, and triple-decker agents amidst us. We certainly do not need more of the same human garbage dressed in business suits.

Pakistanis must be wary of dealing with such elements that look like us, speak like us but are not WITH us or FOR us. This ‘intelligence’ recruitment has been going on since many decades The reason why you see no progress but rather a downward slide is that very few men here are 'real men' who have the courage to say no to these fancy dinners and indirect bribes. Now imagine how Washington might react if our intelligence agencies gathered some Pak-Americans and asked them to do the same for Pakistan. God! The poor green Cardigans will be horrified at such indecent proposals.

Remain fearful of Allah alone, He will indeed question you about what you did on Earth.

Never be collaborators or traitors to your Motherland. Never let Iblees mislead you.

Interesting 24 March 2017 UPDATES

Document reveals Gillani authorised Haqqani to issue visas to Americans
ISLAMABAD: Two days after Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz claimed that the interior ministry had in 2010 empowered the then ambassador of Pakistan in Washington, Hussain Haqqani, to directly issue diplomatic visas to Americans without clearance of relevant authorities, a document reveals the authorisation originated from the office of then prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani.

PPP hits back after letter empowering Hussain Haqqani 'leaked' to media
Clarifying the PPP's position on the controversy surrounding the issuance of over two thousand visas to US citizens, allegedly after bypassing proper channels, party spokesperson Senator Farhatullah Babar on Friday said there was "nothing new or wrong" in the letter sent by Prime Minister House to the Foreign Office in 2010 circulated in media today.

Rock n' Rollin' Sufi Wanna-be

Mr siddiqui:

Your article (Salman Ahmad Pens "Rock & Roll Jihad") is not shocking at all. Allow me to shock you.

You cannot possibly know old 'Sal' better than I do. Goodwill ambassadors are chosen very carefully to serve a purpose and an agenda which we need not touch upon here.

I have seen a video of Sal mockingly proclaim from across a dinner table that 'everyone says Islam is a religion of peace. …its a very sexy religion'.

Then another video purporting to show his amazing talent at ‘composing’ Quranic verses! He used a pop song’s melody to 'compose' the Qur'anic dua (Rabbana aatinaa fiddunya hasana....azaabun naar).

You say ‘Salman (no relative of Rushdie)’ but he is related if you look carefully the next time you go fishing.

What is 'Sufi rock', what is this rock ‘n roll Jihad non-sense? The Way forward for a Muslim is not to ape the nude-protesting Yoko-loving John Lennon's way.

The poor wandering singers at Karachi's Boating Basin sound better than this pseudo-Sufi wanna-be who did not answer the last question I asked him ("Do you believe in the finality of Messenger Muhammad and do you admit MGAQ was a fake prophet?).

Do not glorify fools who think they can change the world with the six strings of a guitar.

Auntie's Anti-Penile PENAL Code

Women sweep the roads, bake bricks at kilns and sell newspapers at traffic lights. They also work alongside men in the rural fields and manage quite a few manly jobs in the cities. But to employ them at petrol stations is unfair because it deprives away young men who support entire families. Women too sometimes support families but the Word is unambiguous on this issue: men must protect and provide for women.

When I protested against the presence of a female petrol-station attendant, the manager looked at me from head to toe, “Sir, the government wants us to provide equal opportunity to women in every sphere of life.”

I believe the sphere in question is the common petrol station. One evening when the tank’s quantity indicating needle almost hit the dreaded ‘E’, I drove straight for the nearest petrol station.

Wearing a baseball cap, and while holding that metallic contraption meant to pour petrol—if nothing else—into a near-empty tank—if nowhere else, a female worker innocently asked me, “Sir, how much shall I pour?”

She asked in Urdu and I consider it rude to put it here in words.

NGOS be damned, the government always listens to those with Dollars in their pockets. Overnight the wasted begums, the divorced social butterflies, the supply depot madams, the Dollar-eyed touts and their impious foreign sponsors had managed to change the delicate balance of our society. What Iqbal dreamt and what Jinnah attempted to implement now stands ruined by the hairy hands of the illiterate misleaders.

Pushing women to take up jobs where they come face to face with male customers every other minute is tantamount to promoting male sexual harassment. Sooner, rather than later, a tired driver will opt to refresh himself by baby-talking his way into female consciousness. A better option might have been to keep the ladies occupied in accounting or other departments where they need not worry about facial makeup or personal grooming. Now that the petrol girls will ‘man’ all stations, poor male drivers will have to fret about male makeup and facials.

It is true that the Mullahs are genuinely concerned—I for one being a million miles away from their scheming—about the turn of events in our senate. It is also unfortunately true that the same Mullahs have not been able to turn every other woman of this country into a well-groomed female legislator—the kind that now regularly appear on various television talk-shows and keep idiotic husbands glued to the idiot-box.

So, when the I’d-like-to-fill-you-up lady at the petrol station asked me if I wanted it, I said with a lowered gaze, “No!” and instead shouted for the nearest male attendant to fill up my car’s tank.

Overnight liberty, fraternity, and equality have descended upon us from the heavens. Having women—‘chimta’in hand—chase after low wager husbands was bad enough, asking depleted drivers if they wish to have their fill is officially-sponsored immorality, and once, the Mullahs are right.

My loud ‘no’ at the petrol station was heard by a very august body: our senate. Only yesterday, tired of passing the buck, they passed a bill to further amend the Pakistan Penal Code 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 against sexual harassment at the workplace.

Amid strong criticism from religious parties, the bill–moved by Law Minister Babar Awan–was referred to the Upper House and was swiftly passed by the National Assembly.

The new amendment bill seeks to insert a new offence in Section 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code 1860(XLV) to provide for punishment over sexual harassment at workplaces, and consequential amendments in Schedule II of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1898(V) to make the offence punishable with imprisonment–which may extend to three years–or a fine of up to Rs 500,000, or both.

The aunties have won! If I had my way, I would insert another decent sounding code in place of the very suggestive one that has something to do with penile matters. They claim that the offence would be bailable and non-compoundable—a lawyer will explain what that means.

The amendment is aimed at protecting women in particular against sexual harassment and was supported by all, apart from the religious parties and a senator from FATA.

JUI Senators Mohammad Khan Shirani, Ghafoor Haideri, Gul Naseeb Khan, JI Senator Prof Ibrahim and Senator Prof Sajid Mir objected to the bill and jointly proposed recommendations for inclusion in the amendment. They said that ‘the new amendment in the bill was a violation of the fundamental norms of Islam and the constitution, and would promote vulgarity among women. The bill must be sent to the Council of Islamic Ideology for further review.’

Never to stay silent on such issues, the female senators strongly protested and chanted slogans against JUI Senator Ghafoor Haideri for saying that the amendment would ‘further pave the way for NGO employees to promote vulgarity.’

We are not told if the males—exercising their right to protest—chanted slogans against the female senators; if they did nothing of the kind, double shame on them for not unleashing their male tongues and providing the citizens with constitutional entertainment.

Senators from the plethora of political parties supported the bill, saying ‘it would provide complete protection for women at workplaces.’ Exactly how, we were not told. Not even a contraceptive promises complete protection.

The pro-bill thrillers said that ‘since the bill was passed in the Lower House unanimously, there was no point in sending the bill to the Council of Islamic Ideology or including any more proposals in the amendment. There are shortcomings in the current law, and the majority of the female population preferred to stay home out of fear of sexual harassment at the hands of male colleagues.’

The JUI’s Ghafoor Haideri said ‘the NGOs were behind this amendment … after the passage of this bill, our society will be transformed into European society. Islamic principles and ethics should not be bulldozed in a country created in the name of Islam.’

In chaste Urdu, pro-bill Senator Tahir Mashadi of the MQM said ‘the new amendment would provide protection to the people at workplaces against sexual arrangements’.

PML-N Senator Raja Zafarul Haq said ‘the amendment bill was not a new thing, as it had only increased and specified the punishment against offenders.’ Indeed nothing is new in Pakistan and American invaders have been drone-bombing us since 1947.

Senator Nelofar Bakhtiar, Kalsoom Perveen and Mushahidullah supported the bill. Senate Deputy Chairman Jan Mohammad Jamali–who presiding over the session–counted the desk-thumping members who supported the bill to pass with a majority.

Mentioning the same old names is boring to the core. Let us have the national anthem now and be done with the job.

Pakistan and Islam zindabad, NGOs murdabad.

Will The Real Leader Please Stand Up?

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates (ex-CIA) will be arriving in Pakistan tomorrow, the last stop on his visit to the region.

Matters relating to the ongoing efforts to stabilise Afghanistan and rising tensions between Pakistan and India are likely to be discussed when Gates meets the country’s top leadership.

Basically this translates into escalation of old tensions between India and Pakistan and more killing of innocent civilians. The leadership here—as almost everywhere else on the globe—just cannot resist receiving those nice-smelling packets that contain freshly-printed Dollars and instructional pages from the global best-selling novel: How to destroy your country from within in two easy steps.

Gates will meet AAZ, YRG and a few others who do not matter to the citizens of Pakistan, while the top military leadership will only discuss security-related matters.

Sources said Gates would try to convince the Pakistani leadership about India’s ‘greater role’ in Afghanistan, which Pakistan disagrees with.

This means more RAW cells along the Pak-Afghan border and bad eggs turning into suicidal omelettes. India, already involved in ‘development activities’ in Afghanistan, is being eyed by the US for a military role in the war-torn country as well.

India, together with a little help from our American cooks, will only spoil an already spoilt broth. I would advise India to stay clear of this trap if it wishes to prosper; Pakistan could follow the same advice but the results may not turn out to be the same.

Also on the agenda will be discussions on the latest situation in Afghanistan and the effect of increased number of US troops in the country to turn the tide against the Taliban.

All this means continued drone attacks, greater number of ‘high-value kills’ and the resultant escalation of resentment against aggressive American foreign policy.

With the above bit of sad news as the background, just yesterday, AAZ vowed one more time to serve the people of Pakistan and face any and all challenges facing the nation.

“Those who want to learn the politics of the masses and want to be like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto should be ready to die like him as well... if they want to be like Benazir Bhutto they should stand up like her and face all challenges,” AAZ said while addressing the fourth raffle draw of the Waseela-e-Haq programme at the Governor’s House.

I certainly hope that misleaders from a plethora of faceless political parties will follow this wonderful idea to swing from the gallows of public accountability after having tried to manufacture shoelaces out of the outgoing military dictator’s moustaches. The press failed to ask how willing female legislators might be to ‘stand up like’ Benazir Bhutto did to offer her head for target practise.

Well, I would like AAZ to face the challenge called Gates, coming our way all the way from the murder capitol of the world: Washington. He needs to tell the ex-CIA man face to face to go mind murderous Obama’s business elsewhere on the globe. Once done, AAZ may consult those around him on how to say farewell to us like the creator of the ‘food, clothing and shelter’ pipedream.

What Naturally Flows

Although I am inundated with requests for movie song parodies, I need to prioritize what naturally flows from my pen or the computer keyboard.

I wish to thank the readers for understanding, if not believing, the Messenger of Allah’s literacy issue. Please clarify all your doubts by looking at them under the microscope of the Qur’an. However, there remains one more issue about which I would like to write: the humanness versus the divinity of the Messenger of Allah. I will postpone the matter until another time. For now, I need to reply to readers’ comments:

*******

Echoboom, thanks for mentioning the Hilful Fudul treaty.

I speak English probably better than I do Urdu but I never consider myself a slave of the colonialists. I would like my brothers and sisters to be knowledgeable about the bulk of issues that Muslims face today but do not know how to tackle.

I would want them to spend time busting the religious myths instead of getting themselves busted in NY, LA, or wherever the other side claims Al-CIAda lives.

We already have some uneducated Indusians at this website mocking away on a daily basis; why say things such as 'TWO(2)-Number MAAL' to make them happy? Self-pity is the easiest thing to do in the world.

We need to stand tall and face the challenges pushed into our faces. One must show patience, have hope, and make a decent effort to achieve the best in this world. I do see with great pain that our overall balance is almost totally tilted towards winning eternal rewards in the hereafter.

I, for one, cannot be a time-waster. I will not sit on my hands. Self-pity is a sin against oneself and being a Pakistani Muslim I refuse to sulk and do nothing. I abhor the mutterers who have nothing better to do than highlight problems; show us the solutions and then work towards achieving them.

Allow me to summarize below the salient points of Hilful Fudul for the benefit of readers who may not know Islamic history well.

Battle of Fijaar: A never-ending series of wars was on in Pre-Islamic period. The battle of Fijaar is one of the fiercest and bloodiest battles fought between the Quraysh and the Qais tribes. As the Quraysh were justifiable, Prophet Muhammad sided with the Quraysh tribe but he raised his hand on none. The Qais tribe dominated the battlefield but the Quraysh tribe overpowered them; the war ended on a compromise.

Hilful Fudul: The endless series of wars destroyed hundreds of households but there was no claim in life. After the battle of Fijar was over, some peace-loving people came forward and launched a reformatory movement. One of the uncle’s of the Prophet (peace on him), Zubair, proposed that concrete steps be taken to keep the situation under control. Hence, the elders of the Quraysh tribe sat face-to-face to sign a treaty that read as follows:

1. We will eradicate restlessness from within the land.
2. We will provide protection to travellers.
3. We will help the destitute.
4. We will stretch a helping hand to oppressed people.
5. We will not let any oppressor to operate from within Makkah.

Prophet Muhammad (peace on him) was also present there and he joined the treaty. During his life, he once said, "Even if I were offered red camels for breaking this treaty I would not have accepted them. If I ever get a fresh call for such a treaty, I will be there again."

These excerpts are taken from ‘HOLY LIFE OF HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (HAYYAT-E-TAYYABA)’ By Maulana Dr A. S. Muhammad Abdul Hai (Rahmatullah) of Jamia Milia Islamia (Naqshbandi Haqqani Sufi order, Arif Billah Khalifa of Maulana A.I. Thanvi). He established more than a quarter century ago, Jameatus Salehat, a great centre of Muslim women education. He was a famous writer and the owner of the famous publishing house Maktaba Alhasanat that published some of the best Urdu magazines including Al-Hasanat, Noor, Batool and Hilal besides Hadi, a Hindi monthly for children.

BHS75, thanks for laughing at the Barelvi commercial religious jingles; what they believe and what the Arabs believe has something to do with the geographical distance between the two lands.

Those blessed with seeing things through unwavering faith (Imaan) do not care about Barelvi or Wahabi beliefs. The Qur’an is full of references that show that the Messenger of Allah was born a human being and died as one. He married, had children and struggled very hard to oppose oppression.

Whether angels actually fought on his side is a matter that Dr Muhammad Asad has explained well, suffice to say, with help from his human friends, he was able to turn the tables within his lifetime and re-established a system prescribed by Allah.

Some (like that anti-Islam Dr. Koenraad ELST who was justifiably rebuffed on Chowq by this writer) think that ‘wahy was a state of trance in which a voice dictated Allah's own words to the chosen Messengers.'

The word ‘wahy’ (revelation) means ‘directing or guiding someone’ and it is derived from awha. It is the process of combined verbal and mental communication and inspiration. If men can invent Twitter and SMS, don’t you think our Creator has Divine methods to communicate with those who are tuned in to his station and who keep their hearts full of His remembrance and their minds logged on to His internet?

*******

Urstruly, thanks for escaping the ‘ban chowqing’ to communicate to me how much you like my thesis. I am one million years away from receiving a Ph.D. on the subject but abnormal beliefs have always disturbed me. Only a guided person can see all the wrong around; the Messengers were such people and we need to lock on to their targets and not to those which the IMF or the WB fax us at Islamabad.

I am sure, as a reader, you do read my posts and blogs on this pagan yubb-site, I wonder why you think I am ranting against every man with a beard? I propose complete submission to Him (Islam) thinking for oneself, seeking God’s direct help (with patience and prayers) and finding peace through a safe passage (taqwa). Is that being unjust to those who are a silent party to the death and destruction all around us?

As for the ‘classical clerical position that the Prophet (peace on him) was unschooled’, it is not my concern to speculate on his alma mater or teachers. Adam received his schooling directly from Allah—something that amazed the angels and set fire to fiery Iblees. Positions can and should change; now is the time to re-think what our beliefs really are, what fairy-tales we believe in and where we ought to be heading. I believe my previous blog solved the riddle of the Messenger’s education.

Whoever thinks that the Messenger (peace on him) ‘was imparted the necessary education (ability to read and write) through a Divine instrument and blessed with the first revelation in Hira’ is almost there; the rest of it is explained in the Qur’an by the Author.

Thank you Mariposa for seeing to it that I write one more pious blog that will please the One who is indeed pleased by such human effort.

May Allah bless you all.

Was The Messenger Illiterate?

People generally translate the word 'Ummi' as the one who can neither read nor write, and which gives the impression that Muhammad (peace on him) was illiterate and remained so until the end of his life.

In 29:47, it is mentioned that “thus we have sent down the book to you…"

In 29:48, "Neither did you read any book before it, nor did you write any with your right hand…”

The words ‘before it’ mean that Muhammad (peace on him) did not read or write before the revelation, the way the Jewish and Christian religious men could. This implies that after the revelation, he could read and write well!

Other meanings of ‘Ummi’ also need to be considered.

In 2:78, the word ‘Ummiyyoon’ has been explained as “people who know not the Book’.

In 3:20 and 3:75, the word ‘Ummiyyeen’ is used in contrast to ‘those who were given the scripture’. Also see 62:2.

Now, 'Ummi’ not only means ‘one who cannot read and write’ but also means ‘one who does not have the knowledge of the scripture’ and ‘one who is not among those who were given the scripture’.

Hence, Muhammad (peace on him), before the revelation, neither had knowledge of the scripture (as a learned man would) nor he was among those who were given the scripture (not from the Jews or the Christians). While it is true that he was not a totally literate man who could not read or write before the Qur'an was revealed, afterwards he could do both.

The very mention of ‘IQRA’ (read) ‘ALLAMA’ and ‘QALAM’ (pen) in the very first revelation (96:1-5) place great emphasis on the Messenger to learn to read and write. Hence, he could not have turned a blind eye to a matter of such significance—after all he was going to be dictated by Allah to put in writing the entire Qur'an.

Remember, that the Messenger (peace on him) travelled far and wide as a caravan leader (successful businessman). Anyone who disputes the above assertions may reread the Quran very carefully because the unbelievers are shown accusing the Messenger for 'having written the Book with his own hands'.

The verses in question do not say that the messenger of Allah could NOT or did NOT read a book beforehand but that he did NOT read a revealed Scripture before the Qur'an.

The Ahadith that show some scribes writing whatever they felt (deliberately introducing errors in the Qur’an) while the Messenger approved it all, are forgeries.

How is it possible that the Lord of the visible and invisible worlds would allow such a thing to occur? In short, the Messenger of Allah had to write it all down in his own hand (in addition to memorizing it or having others copy it).

Pity the poor illiterate mullahs who think the Messenger of Allah (peace on him) was just like them. It is through such perversion of religion that men have come to believe that blowing themselves up and others with bombs is the Allah’s Way (sunnah Allah).

“And they say: ‘Tales of the ancients, which he has got them written down: and they are dictated before him morning and evening.’” (25:5)

Dirty American Hippies Love Lahore

Last Friday, the law enforcement personnel impounded in the Lahore Cantonment a vehicle used by American nationals and which bore a fake registration number. They stopped the vehicle for a routine check near Sherpao Bridge, but the American citizens, including a woman, refused inspection, claiming they were Americans and were not subject to snap checking.

Can you believe this arrogance? Such snap answers in aggressive nasal American accent normally unnerve weaker nations. Perhaps our security forces need to read the same rights that the American police routinely recite while arresting criminals. But let us not blame our own country in a hurry; perhaps our security-men only wanted to check if the foreigners had the right tools (for an inside job) in their toolkit. As we know already, American Dollars, American arms and American men-in-blackwater work fulltime to improve how God made this planet.

Anyway, the argument between our side and the suspected Americans side went on for a long time, the law enforcement personnel called senior officials to the scene for further action. This provided our side with a great opportunity to shake the white hands of the aggressive visitors.

Further questioning revealed that the vehicle bore a bogus licence number plate while the passengers allegedly indulged in a prohibited activity: taking pictures of the cantonment area.

One might say that questioning such folks is poor diplomacy but maybe our side, overcome with joy, only stopped them to enquire about the wellbeing of their families, a gesture which the other side reciprocated by not enquiring about the wellbeing of the families on our side and instead dialling the phone number of a globally unpopular uncle: Sam.

Sources said, an official of the American embassy also arrived at the spot and secured the release of the passengers, but the police refused to let the vehicle go as it carried a fake number plate.

Such was the loving embrace the two sides indulged in that they went on arguing in public for a long time. A colonel of the ISPR said the vehicle was ‘stopped for routine checking and only the police could comment on any further details.’ By this comment, he meant they wished to check the car’s oil level and wipe its windscreen without taking a dime or a nickel worth of aid from the guests.

The cantonment’s supervisory police officer said ‘the police had impounded the vehicle, but its passengers had been allowed to leave. So far, it is not clear if the vehicle bore a fake number plate, and hence no case has been registered against any one; things would be ascertained after thorough investigations.’

The eastern mode of police investigation will surely make the New Scotland Yard invent a new yardstick. Never one to be left behind, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif told reporters that he had asked for a report on the incident involving American nationals since it was the second such incident in four days at the same place. On December 8, law enforcement officials stopped two vehicles carrying officials of the American consulate, holding them for about three hours when they refused to subject their vehicles to an oil check and cleaning of dirty windscreen.

The Americans always spread themselves too thin. It is a fact that the American embassy staff members goes to great lengths to rescue citizens who cause troubles in foreign lands, for example, the numerous rapes committed by American troops in Okinawa, Japan. Please read my blog U.S. Military in Japan

They believe in rescuing their own citizens no matter what they are up to, while taking extraordinary measures to extradite foreign nationals to notorious far-flung camps for illegal incarceration and torture.

I remember the good times when dirty American hippies roamed Lahore’s streets without ever being bothered. With this silly G-WOE (global war of error) all around us, Lahorites are vigilant enough to spot ‘stupid white men’ (to borrow Michael Moore’s term) wearing dark shades and expensive clothing, travelling in black cars and unwilling to stop when asked. Perhaps the suspected Americans were the same dirty hippies who grew up to become employees of even dirtier covert agencies. Everyone knows that is true.
